 | Hi RA! I also went one Sunday afternoon (with the wifey) to Westminster (in North London) via the Underground, and boarded the bus at the station going uphill, before getting off to trek Abbey Road from one end to the other, looking for the EMI Studios and the famed "Zebra Crossing". What a magical, mystery experience. The crossing's location is not advertised at all, so Beatlepeople really have to go and find it by themselves. From outtakes I'd seen of the Abbey Road photoshoot where the Fabs are sitting on the steps of the apartment across the studio while waiting to cross the street, you can guess that I found the right door and sat there as well. The amazing part was that there was actually a Volkswagen Beetle parked inside the EMI lot (not outside), it probably belonged to one of the engineers. No, the car's license plate number wasn't a 28IF, but I thought the VW's presence was serendipitous just the same.
